Our hope is that Canvas is a place where people have the opportunity to be fully themselves and experience love and acceptance. We aim to create environments that are safe and led with integrity. We work hard to ensure these goals and we hope you’ll never need to make a complaint with us. However, sometimes things do go wrong and you may want to raise a concern or file a complaint.
We consider complaints to be an opportunity to learn and improve for the future, as well as a chance to make things right for the person who has made a complaint. We will consider your complaint sincerely, sensitively, and with as much confidentiality as is required.
If you have any concerns or complaints regarding an experience you had or observed between a Canvas team member or other individual associated with Canvas, the management and operation of Canvas buildings, property etc., handling of finances, or any other issue, please email trustees@canvashouse.org and put COMPLAINT in the subject line. Please include the nature of the complaint and the date(s) it occurred. This initial email will be sent only to non-staff members of the Canvas board of trustees and one of them will reach out to you within 5 business days.
